BA (Hons) DPSI (Law) DipTransLET MITI MCIL

I moved to the UK in 2006 where I changed my career and decided to put my natural language skills to good use. I started working as an interpreter, mostly for the Public Sector, (specialised in Law) and then progressed to translation. Over the years, I have worked on numerous interpreting and translation projects, which enabled me to hone my skills as a linguist.

I am an experienced conference as well as a legal interpreter working from and into all variants of Portuguese.

As a translator, I only translate from English into Portuguese (European & Angolan).

I hold a BA (Hons) in Tourism with Applied Marketing (taken in Portugal), the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (in Law) and the Diploma in Translation, both taken with the Institute of Linguists in the UK. I am a MITI (Member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting), a MCIL (Member of the Institute of Linguists) and a Member of the APTRAD (Portuguese Association of Translators and Interpreters).
